The New Roots project operates in partnership with local authorities and charitable organisations alike in its mission to challenge homelessness in and around London.  The service provides housing and support to individuals who are homeless  or at risk of homelessness and aims to support individuals towards independent living.

 

Our service focuses on assisting single people who are aged 18 and over with limited options to alternative housing. Whilst providing a secure accommodation for our residents, we also aim to promote sustainable independent living through our floating support services.

Housing 

Our service provides an avenue for housing to local authorities to assist with the increased demand for lower priority individuals since the introduction of the Homeless Reduction Act 2017. Our properties offer rooms within a shared accommodation and come fully furnished. The properties are professionally cleaned on a regular basis and have an in-house maintenance team on call to address any issues.

Support 

The support provided by the service is tailored to individuals with low to medium level support needs. Each client is given individual support plans and risk assessments which are used to help guide individuals towards independent living. In addition to regular support visits, staff presence also is seen in the form of spot checks and after-hours visits.
